City of Clovis recently issued the following announcement

The City Council has appointed 25 citizens to form a Citizens’ Advisory Committee (CAC) to the review services that the City of Clovis Police Department provides with the existing staffing and funding, along with the spending and staffing patterns within the Police Department. The CAC will also evaluate how the City maintained the “Safest City in the Valley” position and the level of resources that would be needed for Clovis to remain in the “Safest City in the Valley”. After the CAC’s review and evaluation of the Police Department’s current status, the CAC will report recommendations to the City Council regarding the issues mentioned above. The Citizens’ Advisory Committee is tentatively scheduled to meet on the second and fourth Wednesdays of each month  from 6:00-8:00 p.m. starting from January 26, 2022, through May 11, 2022, at the California Health Sciences University campus located at 2500 Alluvial Avenue, Clovis, CA 93611.
