Rep. David Valadao, who represents California’s 22nd district in the U.S. Congress, recently shared his engagements through a series of tweets highlighting his involvement in community and legislative activities. Valadao, born in Hanford, California in 1977, has been serving since replacing TJ Cox in 2021.
On May 15, Valadao attended an ice cream social hosted by the Tulare County Association of Governments (TulareCOG). He expressed enthusiasm for the event on Twitter, stating “I had a great time scooping Rosa Brothers ice cream for the @TulareCOG farm to market roads ice cream social today. This is one of my favorite events because it showcases some of the great agricultural products from the Central Valley. Thanks for having me!”
The following day, May 16, Valadao reported on another meeting via Twitter with representatives from Western Growers. In this tweet, he mentioned discussions about critical issues such as agricultural labor and water supply: “I had a great conversation with representatives from @WesternGrowers this week. We discussed agricultural labor issues and the importance of a reliable water supply for our producers. Thank you for having me, I look forward to our continued partnership.”
On May 17, during National Police Week, Valadao met with members of PORACalifornia to address police-related concerns including childcare accessibility and staffing shortages. He highlighted these topics on Twitter: “This National Police Week, I met with @PORACalifornia. We discussed the Providing Child Care for Police Officers Act and nationwide police staffing shortages. By making childcare more accessible, we can reduce a major barrier for working parents while improving public safety.”
David Valadao has served in various capacities since his early political career beginning in the California State Assembly from 2010 to 2012.
