Rep. David Valadao, a U.S. Congressman representing California’s 22nd district since 2021, has been active on social media this week discussing his legislative and community engagements. Born in Hanford, California in 1977, Valadao replaced TJ Cox in Congress and previously served in the California State Assembly from 2010 to 2012.

On May 8, Valadao announced via Twitter that he reintroduced the Farm Workforce Modernization Act alongside several colleagues. The tweet reads: “This week, I reintroduced the Farm Workforce Modernization Act with @RepZoeLofgren, @RepNewhouse, @CongMikeSimpson, @RepJimCosta, and @RepAdamGrayCA to take steps to address our agricultural workforce needs and secure our food supply chain.”

In a subsequent post dated May 9, Valadao shared his participation in a sporting event: “This week, I played in the Congressional Soccer Game hosted by the @ussoccerfndn. This is a bipartisan event that helps support youth soccer programs across the country, and it’s always a great time for some friendly competition! “ The game is known for fostering camaraderie among lawmakers while supporting youth soccer initiatives nationwide.

Finally, on May 11, Rep. Valadao extended Mother’s Day wishes to residents of his constituency through another tweet: “Wishing a happy Mother’s Day to all the incredible moms throughout the Central Valley!” This message was directed at honoring mothers within California’s Central Valley region.
