Rep. David Valadao, representing California’s 22nd district in the U.S. Congress, has recently addressed several legislative initiatives through his social media posts. These tweets highlight his efforts in tackling critical issues such as water management and forest conservation.

On January 22, 2025, Rep. Valadao announced the introduction of two legislative acts aimed at addressing drought challenges in the Central Valley. In a tweet, he stated: “Water is the lifeblood of the Central Valley, which is why I introduced the Groundwater Technical Assistance Act & Every Drop Counts Act alongside @RepJimCosta to address drought challenges, stabilize water tables, and secure our water future.”

The following day, on January 23, 2025, Rep. Valadao expressed his support for forest management reform by tweeting about his participation in advocating for the Fix Our Forests Act. He wrote: “Today, I spoke on the floor in support of the Fix Our Forests Act. Wildfires are inevitable, but decades of forest mismanagement directly contributed to the severity of the fires we are witnessing, which is why I’m proud to support this bipartisan effort to restore forest health.”

Later that same day, Rep. Valadao shared news of a legislative victory with the passage of the Fix Our Forests Act in the House. He remarked: “The House just passed the Fix Our Forests Act—legislation I co-led. While conversations need to be had at the state level about the management of California’s natural resources, this provides agencies with the tools necessary to help states practice proactive forest management.”
