Ally Long concluded her Chapman water polo career with All-America Honorable Mention accolades as selected by the Association of Collegiate Water Polo Coaches. The All-American accolade is the first of her career.
Long was selected to the All-SCIAC Second Team following a standout senior season in which she led the conference in assists. Her 53 assists in 2022 were the fourth-most in school history. She also scored a team-best 46 goals. She had 40 steals and also led the Panthers with 31 drawn exclusions.
With Long’s selection to the ACWPC’s All-America team, the Panthers have now had at least one All-America selection in each of the last 18 seasons.
The Panthers finished the 2022 season with a 12-16 record – their most wins since 2015.
