In an effort to help the community connect to our parks and provide volunteer opportunities for all, Hanford Parks & Recreation is starting a new volunteer program called Hanford Helping Hands. Once a month, volunteers will meet to make improvements at one of our beloved City parks.

The program kicks off on January 14 to coincide with the Martin Luther King, Jr., National Day of Service.

Where: Quail Run Park (North Glacier Way/Blackbird Drive)When: Saturday, January 14, 8 a.m. – noonWho: City of Hanford staff and anyone looking to give back (churches, companies, civic organizations, high school students, etc.)

Each council district will be serviced twice per a year (June and December will be dark).

On volunteer days, the City will provide the necessary tools and materials and give guidance on what would be helpful to improve the park.

We hope you can join us!
