Rep. David Valadao, a Republican representing California’s 22nd district in the United States Congress, recently shared updates on various legislative efforts through his official social media channels. Elected in 2021 after succeeding previous officeholder TJ Cox, Rep. Valadao actively participates in budgeting and educational endeavors.

On April 2, 2025, Rep. Valadao tweeted, “Today I’m leading the @HouseAppropsGOP Legislative Branch Subcommittee hearing on the budget.” The hearing focused on discussions surrounding the financial proposals.

On the same day, Rep. Valadao posted: “The Armenian Genocide caused the loss of over 1.5 million lives at the hands of the Ottoman Empire, and teaching about this tragedy is essential. That’s why I joined @repdinatitus, @RepGusBilirakis, and @RepTedLieu to reintroduce the Armenian Genocide Education Act.” This act aims to foster awareness and understanding of the historical events.

Further emphasizing the importance of education, Valadao tweeted: “This bill would fund educational programs at the Library of Congress to educate Americans on the Armenian Genocide, and as the co-chair of the Congressional Caucus on Armenian Issues, I’m proud to support this effort.” The proposed legislation seeks support for educational initiatives at the national library on this subject.
