City of Avenal recently issued the following announcement.
For some time now, there have been ongoing concerns of odors in the City of Avenal. The California Air Resources Board has been working with many other agencies to address the situation. The purpose of this meeting is to share with the community what we have been doing and our plan of action. We also want to hear ideas from the community on ways to solve the odor problem. Most of the agencies’ staff do not live in Avenal, so your voice is important to us as you have invaluable knowledge about the community.
The agencies working collectively together on the odors are:
