Three dominant quarters led the Chapman University women's water polo team to a 14-4 win over visiting Caltech. Two players scored three times and Soul Parness allowed just one goal after the first quarter to key the victory.
The Panthers picked up their 11th win of the season, giving the program it's most wins since 2015.
After trading goals in the first quarter, Ally Long scored her first of three goals on the night to put Chapman on top 4-3 with 4:27 to go in the second quarter. Long scored again just minutes later and was followed by goals from Kasey Markell and Charlene Ma to make it 7-3 at halftime.
The Panthers offense continued to roll with five goals in the third and two more in the fourth. Parness made six saves in goal and Camille Chiang came away with six steals as Chapman shut the Beavers out in the second and fourth while allowing just one goal in the waning moments of the third.
Chapman ended the game with 18 steals as a team and drew eight ejections. Ma scored two more goals in the second half, finding the back of the net from distance to boost the lead.
