The Chapman University softball team is heading to Texas Lutheran for the regional round of the NCAA Division III Softball Championship. The Panthers won their first-ever SCIAC Tournament title to claim their bid into the national championship.
Chapman will play in the national tournament for the first time since 2008. In the field of 62 teams, the Panthers and Bulldogs are the only two team regional in the tournament. The winner of the regional will be decided in a best-of-5 series, beginning on Friday, May 13. Gam times will be announced later in the week.
The Panthers swept their way through the SCIAC Tournament with freshman Miranda Murphy earning tournament MVP honors.
