Sophomore Jesse McMillan became the first track & field athlete from Chapman University to compete at the NCAA Division III Outdoor Track & Field Championships. His historic season ended when he did not clear the first height.
McMillan set the school record early in the season and stayed in the top-10 in the nation for most the season. At the championship meet, he passed at 4.55 meters but then missed on all three vaults at 4.65 meters.
A sophomore at Chapman, McMillan will look to make his way back into the championship field next year and improve on his school record of 4.95 meters.
