Rep. David Valadao, serving in the U.S. Congress for California’s 22nd District since 2021, has expressed his commitment to advocating for accessible healthcare and reforming burdensome medical requirements. Valadao, who took over the position from TJ Cox, has recently communicated his engagement with various healthcare initiatives through his social media platform.

On April 11, 2025, Rep. Valadao expressed satisfaction that Speaker Johnson is dedicated to providing access to Medicaid for “our hardworking families.” The congressman emphasized the importance of advocating for strengthening essential programs for his constituents in the Central Valley, noting, “I’m happy to hear @SpeakerJohnson remains committed to ensuring our hardworking families have access to Medicaid. As the budget process moves forward, I’ll continue advocating to strengthen critical programs for my constituents in the Central Valley.”

On April 11, 2025, Valadao also announced the reintroduction of the Supplemental Oxygen Access Reform Act on social media. He highlighted the challenges faced by individuals due to strict Medicare requirements, stating, “This week, I reintroduced the Supplemental Oxygen Access Reform Act. Supplemental oxygen is lifesaving, but many struggle to get access due to burdensome Medicare requirements. This bill makes it easier for people to get the treatments they need to live healthy, active lives.”

Currently 46, Valadao was born in Hanford, California, in 1977 and continues to reside there. Before his tenure in Congress, Valadao served in the California State Assembly from 2010 to 2012.
