West Hills College Coalinga invites all graduating students from Coalinga and Firebaugh to apply to be a student speaker at the 2023 commencement ceremony in May.
It is an honor to be selected to present the student commencement address – to convey a message of inspiration and encouragement, share common experiences and insights, and inspire fellow graduates.
Interested students can apply by submitting a written speech that is no more than 2 minutes.
The deadline to apply is 4:00 pm on Tuesday, April 21st.
Coalinga students can submit speeches to the Student Services office.
Firebaugh students can submit speeches to San Juana at the Firebaugh Center.
Students can also send their speech via email directly to Ashley Dove at ashleydove@whccd.edu
