Deputy overheard the Santa Rosa Rancheria Department of Public Safety being dispatched to a subject armed with a gun near the valet parking at the Tachi Palace Hotel next to the Casino.

On Sunday, October 16, 2022, at approxamently 2017 hours, a Deputy overheard the Santa Rosa Rancheria Department of Public Safety being dispatched to a subject armed with a gun near the valet parking at the Tachi Palace Hotel next to the Casino. The Deputy who was nearby arrived to investigate the incident.

The investigation revealed an intoxicated subject named Timothy Jeff was being disruptive at the Casino. When security personnel contacted Timothy he became irate. As Timothy yelled at security, he was waving his arms around. Due to his intoxication levels he tripped and fell. After falling to the ground, a loaded black Smith and Wesson 9mm firearm fell from Timothy’s waist band onto the sidewalk. The gun was quickly secured and Timothy was detained shortly thereafter by Deputies.

During a search of Timothy a second loaded magazine was located.

A records check on the Smith and Wesson revealed the firearm was stolen out of Lemoore. The victim later told investigators the gun had been recently stolen from the trunk of the victim’s car.

Authorities looked into Timothy’s past and discovered he was previously convicted of several felony crimes to included assault with a deadly weapon. Therefore, he was not permitted to possess a firearm or ammunition.

Timothy was booked into Kings County Jail on the charges of felon in possession of a firearm, prohibited person possessing ammunition, carrying a loaded firearm in public, disorderly conduct and possession of stolen property. His bail was set at $45,000.
