Your Hanford City Council took the following actions at Tuesday night's council meeting.
1. Authorized City Manager to contract with retail recruiting company for a five-year Downtown Hanford strategic plan
2. Supported submittal of grant proposal for Prop 64 Public Health and Safety Grant Program to fund Boys & Girls Club program at Coe Park
3. Approved extension of agreement with Carnegie Museum of Kings County to occupy the historic building
4. Agreed to wait until new council members seated to consider renewing contract for falconer services in Downtown Hanford
5. Approved waiver of fees for Hanford Chamber of Commerce's use of the Civic Auditorium for annual nonprofit Christmas fundraiser
6. Approved three staff recommendations, including General Plan Amendment, related to county island that City plans to annex in future
The next regular city council meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, December 6 at 7 p.m.
A special city council meeting will take place on Friday, December 2 at 5 p.m. New council members will be sworn in at that time.
