Congressman David Valadao has expressed his support for the recent passage of a Continuing Resolution (CR) in the House. The CR aims to prevent a government shutdown and maintain essential services.

"Today, I voted to advance the Continuing Resolution," stated Congressman Valadao. He acknowledged that while a CR is not the preferred method for funding, it avoids costly shutdowns for taxpayers. The resolution ensures critical services remain operational and protects Social Security, Medicare, and Medicaid recipients from disruptions. It also guarantees veterans receive their full benefits and provides junior enlisted troops with a deserved pay raise.

Valadao emphasized his commitment to transparency and responsible fiscal management as part of the House Appropriations Committee. He noted that with the CR in place, efforts can now shift towards passing full-year appropriations bills that offer stability for Central Valley families, businesses, and the economy.
