Rep. David Valadao, a U.S. Congressman representing California's 22nd District, recently shared some important messages via his social media accounts. These tweets reflect his commitment to supporting agricultural workers and combating online scams.

On March 31, 2025, Valadao highlighted the significance of farm workers in the Central Valley. He tweeted, "Agriculture is the backbone of the Central Valley, and farm workers are vital to our farm economy. On National Farm Workers Day, I'd like to recognize our farm workers who make it possible for us to enjoy the food on our tables. Thank you for all that you do!"

On April 1, 2025, he addressed the issue of online safety with a focus on dating platforms. Valadao stated, "This bipartisan, bicameral bill provides transparency, empowers users to make informed decisions, and reinforces best practices to prevent online scams. I'm proud to lead this effort to make online dating safer and protect Americans from financial fraud."

The same day, he further elaborated on the prevalence of scams related to online dating. He tweeted, "Over 60 million Americans used an online dating service in 2023, and as people go online to find relationships, scammers follow. The FTC reported romance scams have cost Americans over $1 billion per year, which is why I introduced the Romance Scam Prevention Act."
