David Valadao, a U.S. Congressman representing California’s 22nd district, shared insights on social media concerning pressing energy and health policy issues. The series of posts provide his perspective on the state's energy strategy and federal Medicaid program, emphasizing his stance on both matters.

On April 16, Valadao criticized the state's current energy policies. "It's past time we reverse course on the governor's unworkable energy policies that result in high prices for all Californians and focus on advancing our domestic energy production," he tweeted, highlighting his concerns about the economic impact of these policies on Californians.

The following day, on April 17, Valadao reiterated his dedication to protecting Medicaid services, emphasizing his opposition to any plan that would reduce coverage. "I've been outspoken about the need to strengthen the program, and my stance hasn't changed. I won't support a final reconciliation bill that includes any reduction in Medicaid coverage for vulnerable populations," he wrote, underscoring his commitment to vulnerable communities in California's 22nd district.

Additionally, Valadao discussed efforts to maintain Medicaid services through political engagement. In another post from the same date, he stated, "This week, I sent a letter to House Leadership to urge support for Medicaid throughout the budget process. For many of my constituents in CA-22, Medicaid means they have healthcare. Balancing a federal budget can't come at their expense." This statement reflects his proactive approach to ensuring constituents have access to necessary healthcare services.

Valadao, representing California’s 22nd District since succeeding TJ Cox in 2021, continues to advocate for policy changes that address local needs and concerns.
